Wow, I just realized that this will be my 100th post! Gee, what took so long!? Anyhoo, on to the real reason for this post!
Presenting another workshop at Cottage Panache for Linda Kinnaird Jewelry!
I am loving this piece, being offered on Saturday, April 16th.
It will be a three hour workshop, from 10:00am - 1:00pm.
Here is Linda's details and notation for this workshop.
Mixed Metals Shadow Box Necklace
Linda Kinnaird Jewelry
This necklace is a mixture of copper and silver metals, vintage keys, chain and crystals along with a little bling and pearls!
First, I'll show you how to hammer your sheet of copper to give a nice texture, form your shadow box, then finish off the edges with copper foil tape. Copper will naturally darken over time, but if you'd like to oxidize/antique your shadow box, you'll be given the opportunity to do that also. Next, as your focal point for your shadow box, you will choose between a silver crown or a vintage piece from a selection that I will provide. After your focal piece is added, we'll add a vintage prism dangle. Next, I'll show you how to wire wrap links, incorporating a vintage key, the chain, crystals and pearls.
The necklace measures approximately 28 inches long!
Tools you will need to bring to the workshop
Chain nose pliers or flat nose pliers
Round nose pliers
Wire nippers/cutters
Small ruler
Sharpie pen
Supplies for the necklace are included in the cost of the workshop.
The cost of this three hour workshop is $60.00 with only 6 seats available for this workshop.
Sign up begins as soon as posted and all seats are to be prepaid to hold your space.
