A Lovely Workshop with Candace Cline! A Sailor's Valentine
I have just recently posted this new workshop on my Tutelage & Workshop blog
and am so excited about this little treasure from the past! Come by the shop and see it in person, it is just beautiful!
This is the Victorian Sailor's Valentine/pincushion that Candace Cline will be doing here at Cottage Panache on Saturday, January 22nd at 2:00 pm - 4:00pm.
All supplies and tools will be provided by Candace so that she may guide you
from the beginning to end of this little Valentine gift that fits in the palm of your hand.
In this workshop you will learn how to create this Victorian style beauty using
fabric, silk pins, silky vintage style seam binding, sequins, beads and
trim to create this Victorian style beauty.
The class fee is $35.00 for the 2hours. There are 6 seats available so be sure
to sign up soon and prepay to hold your seat.
No need to bring anything, Candace will provide all you need!
Thanks
Maureen

And we have a winner! I mean two winners!
Yesterday the drawing entries came to an end so that I could draw the names of the winners of the $50 Cottage Panache Gift Card. A little after 6pm I stepped out the front door to visit my next door neighbor Bobby of Cayuse Frame Shop here on Glenview to help me draw but she had already left for the day. So first thing this morning a took the entries to her so she could draw them for me. The first she drew was Brenda Humphries and then the second winner was Wade Jacobsen! Brenda and Wade your gift cards are ready and are waiting for you when you are ready. When I got ahold of Brenda she said that she had never won anything before! I left a message for Wade on his tele.
(The pictures have been cropped as to hide their numbers.)
Their gifts cards await them here at Cottage Panache!I love doing these drawings and I am thinking of more ideas and occasions for more gift card give-aways! Let's see should I do them periodically, monthly or just for special occasions?! Let's see, if I do them for $20 - $25 I could do them more often. What do you think? I would love your input!
Wanted to leave you with some more Christmas Candy ~ I, for one can never get enough!

Thanks for visiting and come back soon!

Open today and other info plus more Christmas Candy!
Yes I was open today from 1-5pm. The drawing for the $50 Cottage Panache gift card continues through December 22nd. For every $25.00 you spend (not including tax) you will put a copy of your receipt with your name and phone number into the shell box on the counter so that I can draw at the end of the day and notify you immediatley so you can come and get it on the 23rd if you like! That way you can either spend it or even give it as a gift to another.
And as always Cottage Panache Gift Cards are available in any increment that you desire.
My hours next week will be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday from 10am to 5:30pm.
The store will be closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Sunday! Wow I have never had three days off in a row for a long time. I haven't even decorated at home yet. In my childhood days when we lived on the farm in Michigan we had grew Christmas Trees on the farm and we would go out and choose and cut down our own tree and trim it (yes literally trim it) and then decorate it. We would go to bed after we spent a little while laying beneath the tree staring up at it in all it's glory until we would start to dose off and were scurried off to bed. Those were the days!
I still have so much to do to get the house ready. I am hoping that next year I can afford an employee so that I can get the house ready earlier - but for now it looks like it will be Christmas eve again - which is okay and what I am used to. After all the kids can't peak at their gifts if I don't have them out and under the tree yet - right?!
I will leave you with some more Christmas Candy to eye in the meantime!
Did I mention that all of the Christmas Candy is on sale?!
