Stressed spelled backwards...DESSERTS!! Where's mine

This cream colored cabinet/hutch is lathered with BUTTER...dishes that is. Silverplate, pressed glass, cut glass, milk glass, porcelain and china too!
I seem to be KNEEDEEP...in frogs...iron ones and metal ones and glass ones too!
What do they mean!!! Freaky!!! Okay I just stepped inside the house and someone has sent a pic of them into channel 5...I think they called them Mammothis clouds or something like that!
They are caused by turbulence in the atmosphere! Oh well, I guess I'm not too old to learn something new now and again! Back to work!
Back to painting...oops why won't this attachment stay on the paint can? Pick it up one more time and give up on the thingy that helps save your finger when spray painting. OMG look at those clouds!!! I have lived over a century and I don't remember ever see this type of cloud!
I even studied about all the clouds in elementary school and I still don't remember these!
My Hydrangeas were not damaged by the 85mph winds!!!
I was out in my front yard painting this cute little metal table and 4 chairs...of course it was so windy that it took more paint than usual. The green chair here is the original color of the set. That color of green just doesn't do it for me! Gotta paint it...
Feeling a little stressed...the night before my Saturday Sale. Hope it's worth it - all the work
and time spent, and hours of sleep lost! Wonder if I'll go to bed for more than two hours like last month?? I don't know why or how so much gets left to the last minute.
But it certainly didn't help matters when the power went out because of the storm on Wednesday and didn't come on all night. I thought, well might as well go to sleep since I can't do anything! So off to bed I went...even though I felt under the gun! I woke about 4:30 am and every light in the house was on!!! You know how you walk into a room and try to turn on the light from habit...and, oh ya the power is off...then you leave the room with the flashlight and don't remember that you tried to turn the light on!!! So annoying!! Anyway, I'm sure many were out of power and some may still be now! So afraid it will go out again and time again will stand still!!!
So to destress (is that a word?) I thought I'd post a few more pictures and then it's back at it again!
I don't think I'll ever figure out how to get the pictures and the copy to match up in order!
Do you have to go backward in time or what. It never seems to be in order!!

Pink is the color of....

Pinky, whom we all know. There's a little pinky in all of us!
Sweet pink and rosy...this demitasse...of Occupied Japan!
Treasures of the heart and the sea. When this you see, think of pink and me!
How pretty in pink you will be when wearing precious thee!
Time for tea!? Upon this powder pink tole tray, may I serve to you?
Dreaming in color...the color of pink!
Oh you beautiful doll!
Another demi from Occupied Japan!
The perfect white straw purse for that new pink summer dress!
With lucite handle and latch and in very good shape! Oh so Vintage and sweet! Adorn your chandelier with this vintage chalkware ceiling crown cap!
Pink is the color of many girls, it is the color of the fashion world!
Pink is the attitude of a princess, it's the sensation of buying a new dress. Pink is the scent
of a pricy perfume, it's the explosion when a flower blooms! Pink is soft like a fluffy pillow, it
is cool like a wind that billows. Pink is sweet like cotton candy, pink is girly, cute and dandy!

Means to an end and the end of a good week!

This is a vintage newspaper stand from the 1930s.
So, now that the school year has come to an end, trying to keep the kids occupied at home while I am away running the shop. In the back of my mind I am adding up all of the extra costs that will occur while the kids are home everyday...all day! They are hanging out with their 25...soon to be 26 year old brother...my eldest child. When not hanging out at home, they are making use of their season pass at the local water park - NRH20!!! I thought that they might take a break from the water fun for one day while the shop is closed and hang with Mom (not cool enough or fun enough...I guess!) Oh well there's the rest of the weekend! It was kind of nice having the day to myself, got lots of errands done.
Next Saturday, the 13th will be my next sale at Cottage Panache. Cindy of Mama Mia Photography will be here taking photographs for Father's Day gifts! She will be available from 10:00am to about 1:00pm. She had a shoot at another location afterwards. Her package price is $25.00 for 1-8x10, 2-5x7s and 4 wallets! You can't beat that price!!! The portraits will be printed and available for pick-up here the following week, just in time for that special Father's Day gift.
Posting some more pic of finds for Dad!
I have had a very busy week and trying to tie up loose ends to prepare for the sale and bring in lots of new finds. Many that I have been covetting! I know...not suppose to do that but that's just how it works for me! Sometimes I wish there were two of me so I could be more productive!! Remember the movie Multiplicity!? Didn't realize how late it was...must retire for the night so I can get up and be productive in the am, otherwise I won't be worth a mailto:D%5E@*n!
Adieu,
Maureen

Some things Dad might find interesting

These vintage ice bags could be useful after Dad has celebrated a little too much. Found recently at an Estate sale in the area.
This is so true isn't it?! If only they would just listen to the BOSS all things would get done quicker!
How about this vintage cigarette lighter and cigarette box in the shape of a castle. Just what every man desires. His very own castle!!!
Add this one to Dad's oil can collection!
Perfect coaster set for the game room! comes with game pieces
and dice.
Nice old bank!
Check out this old metal medicine cabinet. It has 3 shelves inside.

"No Rest for the Weary"

These are some of the latest pics I have taken at Cottage Panache. I need to take some of my very recent finds. I'll get right on it!!! After the laundry, cleaning, shopping and cooking! I'm sure that I'm forgetting something...oh yeah I need to figure out what bills I CANNOT pay! JK! Trying so hard to keep it together!
I love these pale robin's egg blue china set that I found at a nearby Estate sale!
This awesome table has yet another leaf to it! It's huge!
This is another area in the back cottage!
I can never resist the cute vintage child's shoes. I wish I had time to put the vintage flower arranging book to use! Maybe in my FREE TIME!!!
Ah! To be able to garden again! Here's what everyone needs to start. This is a willow garden trudge that comes with a set of garden tools. My Dad always had a garden in Michigan where I grew up and I loved helping with it. The best way to eat a tomatoe is straight from the garden with a sprinkle of salt and pepper. If you have never tried fried green tomatoes...you're really missing out!
